Aurelio Andreazzoli celebrated Roma’s second straight win and admits he is “absolutely ready to be the Coach next season.”

He was promoted from the management staff after Zdenek Zeman’s dismissal and the new 3-4-2-1 system proved effective in a 3-2 victory away to Atalanta.

“We played in difficult circumstances, but were also ferocious in chasing down the result,” said Andreazzoli of the game under heavy snow in Bergamo.

“I consider this a great win and am satisfied. Atalanta also did everything to win, but we managed it and they did not.

“We need to work on the movements in midfield, as it takes a little time to get certain situations down, but we are slowly getting there and the players already have a good idea of what I want.

“I was so pleased to see Vasilis Torosidis score, as it’s very satisfying when all the players move perfectly.”

Andreazzoli is only an interim Coach, but Roma hinted this week they might keep him on for next season.

“I am absolutely ready to be the Coach next season. If I accepted the job now, why wouldn’t I in future? In any case, my principle objective is not to be confirmed in this job, but rather to do the work the club asked of me.

“Obviously I’d be happy if I were to be confirmed, but if it doesn’t happen then I will still be glad to have been given this opportunity.”
