Empoli coach Aurelio Andreazzoli is concerned at potential complacency after his team shocked Juventus, as they now face bottom club Venezia.

It kicks off on Saturday at 14.00 UK time (13.00 GMT).

“I expect a difficult game, because I realise it is tougher as a coach to keep a team ready after a victory than a defeat, so we need to be wary,” said Andreazzoli in his press conference.

“I saw evidence of that after our defeat to Lazio, as we emerged from it determined to prove what we could do. I worry about success, because it’s not as formative an experience as failure.”

At the same time, earning a 1-0 victory away to Juventus has surely boosted Empoli’s confidence too.

“I saw how hard the lads worked and it was no fluke that we won that game. Venezia will cause us problems and we mustn’t damage ourselves too with the wrong attitude.”

New signings Lorenzo Tonelli and Federico Di Francesco could make their debuts, but Riccardo Fiamozzi has been ruled out by a muscular strain.
