Empoli Coach Aurelio Andreazzoli looks forward to reuniting with Roma, but won’t take all the blame for the Coppa Italia final defeat to Lazio.

The veteran was on the Giallorossi staff for many years, and took charge of the cup final in his spell as caretaker.

The Lupi lost the Derby della Capitale though, the only Rome derby that has ever directly seen a trophy on the line.

“I had a great time at Roma,” Andreazzoli said ahead of this weekend’s match.

“The club allowed me to experience important things and always treated me well.

“The derby? I think if it had only been down to me then I’d have been too important and would therefore have been indispensable.

“I was allowed to go though, so that probably means the players who played in the game were much more important than me.”
