According to the Daily Mail, Carlo Ancelotti’s future at Real Madrid is in doubt and PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino is one of the leading candidates to replace the Italian coach at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Ancelotti is en route to win his first La Liga title, enjoying a six-point lead over second-placed Sevilla. However, the Merengues put in a disappointing performance in their Champions League clash against PSG last week, suffering a 1-0 defeat at the Parc des Princes.

Ancelotti has revealed taking part in a meeting with Florentino Perez days after the match in France, with the club President ‘hurt’ by the Merengues’ performance.

The former Milan and PSG coach signed a three-year deal in the Spanish capital last season, but his future at the Santiago Bernabeu is in doubt.

According to the Daily Mail, Real Madrid are considering replacing the 62-year-old with Pochettino at the end of the season. Manchester United have also targeted the ex-Tottenham coach, but Kylian Mbappé could play a key role in the future of the Argentinean tactician, having built a close relationship with him in Paris.

The 2018 France World Cup winner sees his PSG contract expire in the summer and seems close to a free transfer to Real Madrid.

  1. I don’t understand how people see Pochettino as a great coach, I mean he never won something valuable or made a distinguished achievement. Any coach can win League 1 with PSG and their superstars squad blindfolded. His performances at UCL is also below par for a superstars team like PSG.

  2. If you’re talking about KLOOP or GUADIOLA, you may want to favour them for a long-term project because of their age. Apart from that which other coaches would you want to replace Ancelloti with ? Pochettino?

  3. this sounds like fake news. whats the fascination with Pochettino ? he’s rumored with Man U too.
Carlo is on a completely higher level. putting in Mauricio is almost as crazy as putting in Pirlo at Juve,
