After representatives of the Brazil federation reiterated that Carlo Ancelotti is their first choice as coach, the Italian insists ‘everything is clear’ for his future at Real Madrid.

It has been clear for months now that Brazil want Ancelotti to take over the Seleçao and lead them into a new era after the flop of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

He was asked about the latest comments from members of the Brazilian Football Federation and again shrugged them off.

“With regards to my future, everything is clear, because I have a contract until June 2024. That’s not tomorrow,” said Ancelotti in his press conference.

“Talking about my future right now is not the right thing to do. I have extraordinary affection for the President and Jose Angel. I also love the club and the fans.”

There have been reports that despite his extraordinary record at Real Madrid, the club could seek a new coach if he fails to retain the Champions League trophy when facing Manchester City in the semi-final next week.

“It is an important tournament, so is the Copa del Rey with Osasuna. Every time before a Final, I have the feeling it might be my last. I felt that in 2003 and I felt that last year. I told the players to see it that way too, because it is a special moment.”
