Carlo Ancelotti believes that Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka would potentially be fine signings for Milan.

The Rossoneri are expected to bring in a new forward in January and some have linked them with the two Stamford Bridge players.

“I’m hearing talk that Drogba and Anelka could wear the Milan shirt,” Ancelotti, who has bossed both outfits, told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“They are two very positive people, for their technical ability and also their human qualities,” added the former Italian international midfielder.

“That doesn’t mean that they will be signed by the club, but they are certainly two players worthy of a side like Milan.”

The Rossoneri made a slow start to the campaign, but the currently unemployed tactician has faith in the squad of Massimiliano Allegri.

“I think they are definitely the team to beat in Italy,” added Ancelotti to the pink paper. “They have the strongest squad.

“You have to also consider the fact that they won the Scudetto last term and they are the team who have changed the least.”

Ancelotti was also asked for his opinion on the rise of Manchester City’s Italian international Mario Balotelli.

“Balotelli has matured,” he added. “He’s demonstrating seriousness on the field of play and he’s an added weapon for Cesare Prandelli’s national team.

“Mario has got himself on the right road thanks to City boss Roberto Mancini. I like his City side and you can see the influence of an Italian Coach.

“The Premier League? It’s the most beautiful, the most compelling and the best paid.”

Ancelotti has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain in recent days, but he insist he wants another job in England.

“I miss the pitch, the training, the atmosphere in the dressing room – another six months and I'll be back.

“I want to stay in England. It's normal that there are rumours about me as I'm without a job. But there's absolutely nothing concrete.”
