Carlo Ancelotti says the problems Milan have faced this season are ‘normal’ and praises Sinisa Mihajlovic for selecting 16-year-old Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Ancelotti spent time with the Rossoneri as a player and a Coach and doesn’t believe that their Serbian Coach should have reason to worry for his job.

“There have been ups and downs, I think that’s normal because a new Coach has arrived and also the players and method of work have changed,” he said to Il Giornale.

“Mihajlovic has shown good sense to entrust the goalkeeper position to Donnarumma: like Buffon, he’s started very young, if someone is good you can’t stop them from looking at their ID card.

“However Diego Lopez is strong, sooner or later he will take back his place in the team. I heard about his tendon condition, he suffered from it during his time at Real Madrid too.

“Berlusconi? The President always goes down to the changing room after the match and indeed, a Coach should worry if he didn’t do it any more or didn’t go to the stadium.”
