Carlo Ancelotti wants to see Milan return to the top level, as long as they remain behind his new club Napoli.

The Partenopei Coach had a distinguished eight-year spell in charge of the Rossoneri, winning Serie A once and the Champions League twice before leaving in 2009.

Now back in Italian football following spells in England, France, Spain and Germany, the 59-year-old is hoping to see his former employers – ravaged by recent ownership issues – re-establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with.

“There has been a lot of movement at Milan behind the scenes,” Ancelotti told Premium Sport.

“I hope they manage to get a bit of calm for this glorious club and these fans.

“I hope they can get back to a high level, although a little bit behind Napoli.”
