According to UOL Esporte in Brazil, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is one of the leading candidates to replace Tite as Brazil’s coach, while Pep Guardiola doesn’t seem interested in the role.

Tite stepped down as the Seleçao’s coach after their elimination in the World Cup quarter-finals at the hands of Croatia last week.

According to the Brazilian media outlet, Ancelotti is one of the main candidates to replace him.

The Italian tactician has recently claimed that he would retire after the current spell in Madrid, but according to the report, he was interested in the job when the Brazilian federation made their first approach in October.

Ancelotti’s contract at the Estadio Bernabeu runs out in June 2024, so the Brazilian would need to find an interim coach if the Italian boss agrees to join the Seleçao in 18 months.

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola was also an option for the Brazilians, but according to the report, the Spaniard didn’t seem interested in the job and, therefore, he’s recently extended his contract with the Premier League giants until 2025.

Brazil’s FA Ednaldo Rodrigues has refused to rule out that he’d hire a foreign coach to replace Tite, who is also a good friend of Ancelotti.

The ex-Milan and Chelsea boss returned to Madrid in 2021 and has become the first coach to win the Champions League four times and the only manager to win each of the top five European leagues.

  1. Forget about all these pretenders like Abel Ferreira and so on. There is a certain caped crusader out there and he needs to introduction.

  2. @me:

Of course you have no interest in him. He won’t dance after his team scores the fourth goal against a team like South Korea.

  3. Ancelotti can pretty much coach any team in the world. But taking over Brazil is unlikely imo.
Dunga was accused of playing tactical European style football when he managed the Selecao, yet he won and was mostly unlucky. Carlo can’t be worse than that.

  4. I think it’s time for Carletto to migrate from club coaching to international coaching and further expand his trophy hall. Time to build on his legend.
