Italian sports papers blame Tiemoue Bakayoko, Ismael Bennacer and Theo Hernandez after Milan‘s 1-1 draw against Udinese.

Stefano Pioli’s side rescued a point at the Dacia Arena thanks to a late goal from Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

However, their away draw means Inter can leapfrog them on top of the Serie A table if they beat Cagliari at San Siro today.

Pioli rotated in the middle of the park picking Bennacer and Bakayoko over Franck Kessié and Sandro Tonali.

The Italian tactician is reportedly unhappy with Kessié’s performances, so he replaced the Ivorian with Chelsea loanee Bakayoko who also failed to impress and was replaced during the half-time break.

La Gazzetta pointed out that he was replaced at half-time in each of the three Serie A games he started this season.

The pink paper added that the Frenchman committed an ‘avalanche of mistakes’, including one that led to Udinese’s goal in the first half.

Bakayoko shares the blame with Bennacer, who was rated 4.5 by all three Italian sports papers.

Theo Hernandez didn’t live up to expectations in his 100th match with the Diavoli and got 5/10.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the best player on the pitch for Milan and was rated 7 by Gazzetta and Corriere dello Sport and 6 by Tuttosport.

  1. Winter is here, but the old man’s bones just won’t creak.

Zlatan is the real deal, an inspiration.

But the league is a marathon, not a sprint and Inter Milano are up to number 20.

  2. Diaz was worst than all of them. We need to either bring Adli back to the club or sign another attacking midfielder.
