Montella praised the Argentine’s ‘great technical skill’ ahead of tomorrow’s Derby della Lanterna against Genoa, which restarts the Serie A season after the winter break.
“Ricky Alvarez is a quality player, he knows how to beat his man and has great technical skill,” Montella said at today’s Press conference.
“He’s a strong player who can play in different roles. The only doubts were linked to his inactivity, but his enthusiasm convinced us. He’ll give us a hand soon.
“I’ve found my players in good shape, especially Cassano. He’s playing, he is a very important player for us. But there’s great competition up front.
“We’re recovering enthusiasm; this is a team that is looking for consistency. It’s pointless to say it, but tomorrow we will try to win this important match.”
