The Portugal international has been repeatedly linked with a move to Rome in light of Lazio's need to bolster their options up front ahead of the business end of the season.

Almeida has expressed his desire not to renew his contract with Werder, which expires in the summer.

Therefore, the January transfer window is Werder's last opportunity to cash in on the 26-year-old.

"I don't know what will happen. I don't know what my future will be. I will talk about it soon with my agent."

Asked about Lazio, he said: "I haven't heard anything since the summer."

Pressed on whether he would be open to a move to Roma, he added: "Yes of course.

"Lazio are a good team and this year they are doing very well."
