It kicks off at the Mapei Stadium at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).

There are multiple reports that Barbieri will be thrown into the starting XI against Sassuolo in what will be his first ever Serie A appearance.

The 20-year-old has already featured for the senior squad this season, coming off the bench for a few minutes in the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain.

Barbieri is a right-back who can also play on the right wing of a five-man midfield, or on the left, and played over the summer in a friendly with Arsenal during their pre-season tour.

Juventus paid €1.6m to purchase the youngster from Novara in September 2020, beating competition from Atletico Madrid.

Max Allegri famously was hesitant to launch young players, but has completely changed his tune at Juventus this season, making the most of the fact they are the only club with their own reserve team in Serie C, the third division.

Other sides were given the opportunity to do so, but chose not to invest.

Now players like Enzo Barrenechea, Nicolò Fagioli, Fabio Miretti, Samuel Iling Junior and Matias Soulé have become regulars in the senior squad.
