Milan will seriously consider sacking boss Massimiliano Allegri should the side lose against Lazio when Serie A resumes.
The club have continually backed the Coach this season, but his future is again in doubt following the 1-0 derby loss to Inter.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport today, a reverse at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday 20 October could see Allegri dismissed.
If that is the case then Milan would appoint assistant boss Mauro Tassotti on a caretaker basis until the end of the season.
The club would then look to bring in a new tactician in the summer, with Pep Guardiola and Luciano Spalletti possible options.
Guardiola is taking a sabbatical after leading Barcelona to world domination, but he would cost the club €6m a season. He’d also allegedly want around €80m to be spent on new players.
Spalletti would be a cheaper option, but the Italian tactician is contracted to Zenit St Petersburg until December 2015.
