Massimiliano Allegri says Carlos Tevez will start for Juventus against Empoli if he’s not tired from international duty.

The striker represented Argentina in an international friendly in New Jersey, and only returned to Turin yesterday.

“I’d like to see how Tevez is,” Allegri told assembled media in his pre-match Press conference.

“If he’s fine and not affected by jet-lag then he’ll play tomorrow. The others are all fine.

“The game lasts 100 minutes so you need everyone, particularly at this stage of the season where tiredness becomes a factor.

“I think changes are especially important in the last half hour of the match. We have to try and have players on the bench who, when they come on, can immediately get into the rhythm of the game.”

There were reports this week that the Coach will be handed a contract extension, but Allegri is adamant that nothing will be discussed until the end of the season.

“I haven’t talked about anything, because now is not the time. At the moment the most important thing is to try and end the season well.

“That won’t be tomorrow, because tomorrow won’t mathematically assure us the Scudetto. At the moment I think we need four more games to mathematically win.

“We have to take things one step at a time. Now we’re thinking about tomorrow, then the [Coppa Italia semi-final with Fiorentina] on Tuesday.

“One game at a time, we’ll get to the end.”
