Before last night, the last time Juventus had conceded five goals in a competitive game was against Pescara in 1993 and Massimiliano Allegri was among the goalscorers for the opponents.

The Bianconeri suffered one of the most humiliating defeats in their history last night with Napoli securing a comfortable 5-1 after the Old Lady had won the previous eight games without conceding.

As highlighted by Italian journalist Giuseppe Pastore, the last time Juventus conceded five goals in a competitive match was on May 30, 1993, with Giovanni Trapattoni on the bench.

It ended with the same result as last night, 5-1, despite Juventus having some legends on the pitch, such as Roberto Baggio, Fabrizio Ravanelli and Antonio Conte.

Allegri played for Pescara and opened the account by scoring a goal from the spot. The Bianconeri finished fourth that season, qualifying for the UEFA Cup, now Europa League.

Juventus had conceded just seven goals in 17 Serie A matches before last night’s game at the Stadio Maradona and are now 10 points below the Partenopei.
