Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri is satisfied with what his side showed in Tuesday’s Trofeo TIM versus Juventus and Sassuolo.

The Diavolo beat Juve on penalties after a 0-0 draw, while they lost 2-1 to the newly promoted side who went on to lift the trophy.

“We played well against Juventus and for 30 minutes of the second game,” the former Cagliari” data-scaytid=”10″>Cagliari tactician commented.

“I’m pretty satisfied with what the players did. It was a good training session and a good test in terms of fitness and tactics.

“Sassuolo played really well, while Juventus will be one of the favourites to win the championship.”

Allegri was especially pleased with Nigel De Jong, the Dutch midfield enforcer who was named as player of the tournament.

“I didn’t think he was at such an advanced stage, so that is obviously good. But we’re all in good shape, the international players will return on Wednesday and we’ll be able to train together.”
