The Bianconeri Coach and several players attended a sponsorship event today and discussed their ambitions for the current campaign.

“The team is doing very well and the history of Juve speaks clear: in the last seven years, there have been seven Serie A titles and two Champions League Finals,” said Allegri.

“Maintaining that level is increasingly difficult. If we want to raise the bar even more, there’s only one thing to do: win the Champions League.”

Real Madrid have won the Champions League for three years in a row, but seem to be floundering this term and sacked Julen Lopetegui last night.

“There is a strong contender that we will certainly find at the end of the Champions League and that’s Barcelona,” continued Allegri.

“We must be ready. From March onwards, it’s a different tournament where we also need a bit of luck, no injuries and everyone in good shape.

“The Champions League is made up of incidents and moments, so we must be both smart and fortunate. Serie A remains the number one target and that is more like a cycling race decided over many stages. Then there’s the Coppa Italia.”

Inter thrashed Lazio 3-0 last night to move into joint second place with Napoli, six points behind Juventus.

“I do believe Inter are made to fight it out with Napoli and Juve for the Scudetto. They lost at home to Parma, but were unlucky that day.

“Luciano Spalletti has a lot of experience and brought Inter back into the Champions League. We should have great respect for Inter and Napoli, as Carlo Ancelotti continues to get results with them.”
