Max Allegri concedes “Antonio Cassano is out of shape, but Milan do not feel under pressure from the chasing pack.”

Their lead at the top of the Serie A table has been cut to three points after a 1-1 draw at Genoa this afternoon, their second consecutive stalemate.

“We know there is a long way to go and we have a three-point advantage,” said the Coach.

“We did fairly well in the first half, less so after the break. During the week we should get some more players back from injury and we know that we must improve.

“When things seem too easy, we tend to rest on our laurels. Cassano is out of shape, but we played every three days this month and so needed to field him.”

Napoli consolidated second place and are now just three points adrift of Milan.

“We do not feel under pressure from the chasing pack,” continued Allegri.

“Although at the start of the season Napoli might've been considered a surprise, they are now clearly a reality of Serie A. They are not obliged to win the Scudetto, so can play with a relaxed state of mind.”
