Allegri is reportedly one of the names Arsenal want to replace Arsene Wenger, but the 50-year-old gave his biggest indication yet – before Juve’s final game of the season against Verona on Sunday – that he would be sticking with the Bianconeri.

“The likelihood that I’ll stay at Juve? Very high,” the Coach said at a Press conference.

“I’ll meet the club and start planning for the future next week. If we don’t concede a goal tomorrow, we’ll be the least-beaten team in Italian football history."

Real Madrid and Liverpool both reached the Champions League final without competing for the domestic title, are Juve too focused on Serie A?

"Juventus always fight to reach all their objectives. We play every three days, and it’s only right that we go on like this.

"It's in the DNA of a great team, if you go out of the Champions League early or fall behind in the League then you lower your motivation and the season becomes a slog.

"Juventus will have to do it again next year. The eighth Scudetto will be even more difficult, as will a fifth Coppa Italia but they're not unattainable, we just have to raise the bar.

“It’s stimulating to be on track for every objective. Each of my four years here have been different to each other.

“The first saw us grow a lot in self-esteem, including the Champions League Final and Coppa Italia victory.

“The second saw us make an incredible comeback, with 25 wins out of 26, the Champions League quarter-finals and another Coppa.

“The third was a Scudetto of consistency, while this one was the most beautiful.

"We duelled with Napoli who had an extraordinary season and we have to compliment them for that.

"They reached their record points total and can still get to 91 points. Napoli can reach 91 points and Juventus can reach 95. That's a great result for both Juventus and Napoli.

“That said, I think it's a question of respect. Those who don't compliment Juventus do not, I think, have any respect for the work the players have done in the past four years and this year.

"You can't question it, because the best team always wins the League.

"You can't compare a team that has won seven Scudetti, four Coppe Italia and reached two Champions League finals to one which has done great things, got great results, but hasn't even reached a final.

“This season we’ve played 53 games and named 51 teams. These are important numbers and we’ve achieved results even in times of difficulty. I have to thank [the squad].

“Would you be surprised if some players asked to leave? I don’t know, Lichtsteiner and Asamoah, who have done so much for us, are already leaving.

“There’s a mess in every dressing room. Whoever stays will have to know that we’ll be going again for an important season in July.

“Players with character, who want to work and win, will arrive. Those with less of those things can acquire them at Juve, who are one of the eight biggest clubs in Europe.

“However, acquiring them is difficult. Working to make Juventus history is our objective. Without sacrifice, you don’t win.”
