Max Allegri has warned Juventus that “we must score” at Atalanta in Tuesday’s Coppa Italia semi-final first leg.

Atalanta came back from behind to draw 2-2 with Juve earlier in the season, and Allegri praised his side’s opponents for their ‘great’ run of form, while asserting the Bianconeri would not be making any late moves in the transfer market.

“Atalanta? It’s a different game to the one in the League,” the Coach said at a Press conference.

“We must score in this away leg, knowing we’re facing a team who are having a great time of it at the moment, and I congratulate Gasp for that.

“Still, everything will be played for in the return leg. Higuain? He doesn’t play too close to his opponents’ goal, but I’m glad he’s back and working well.

“Rotation? We need to understand what condition the players are in, Marchisio will be available.

“No-one snubs [the Coppa] when you get this far. Some people go out at this stage and say ‘fair enough, it’s the Coppa Italia’, but we have three objectives and we must try to reach them all.

“Title race? We have to congratulate ourselves and Napoli. Lazio would be second if it was a normal season, but we’ve both picked up a lot of points.

“FIGC election? We can start afresh from this election, even if the Italian national team recently failed against Sweden.

“Other than that, they’ve picked up some excellent results since 1970. You can’t always think about winning the World Cup.

“Training? We’ve done lots of work but not gone overboard. It becomes increasingly difficult to pick up points in the second round of the season.

“Bad day for VAR? It’s one of those things. Signings if Cuadrado needs surgery? We’ll be fine, even without him.”
