The Bianconeri have won all but two of their competitive games this season, drawing 1-1 with Genoa in Serie A and losing 2-1 at home to Manchester United in the Champions League.

“The team is in good shape, we are top of the table, but now there are nine games to go before the Winter break – seven in Serie A and two in the Champions League – against difficult teams,” the Coach told JTV.

“We have to prepare in the best way possible with the calm we’ve shown thus far. It’s a big season and we must set the scene so that we’re still in the running for all our targets come March.”

Allegri was given the Panchina d’Oro this week, the award for Serie A Coach of the Season.

“It is an award that is always pleasing, as it is down to all those who worked with me every day. It is given to me symbolically, but is in truth an award for everyone, and it’s gratifying that my fellow Coaches voted for me.

“We’ve changed many players over the years and that keeps motivation high. The quality level has gone up year by year, which is fundamental to remain at the top level in Italy and Europe. The club is planning well for the future.”
