Massimiliano Allegri insists Milan “did not throw away points” in their Sampdoria stalemate.

“We did not throw away points, as don’t forget we were facing a side that was capable of beating Juventus” data-scaytid=”24″>Juventus last week,” he said after a 0-0 Marassi draw.

“In the first half they pressed us more, then my players started to push and we should’ve done better in the final third.

“We kept a clean sheet and that is important. We moved the ball around fairly well, but had to pick up the pace and do it quicker.”

The Coach was asked about his trident attack of Stephan El Shaarawy, Bojan Krkic and Mbaye Niang, who are all 20 years old.

“We had four kids on the field today,” he said referring also to defender Mattia De Sciglio.

“Niang had a good game, so did De Sciglio. El Shaarawy has played many matches and is very generous, so he was bound to feel tired eventually. Bojan showed some good things tonight.

“These games are often decided by incidents and we could’ve made more of them. I will not say the young trident was a failure. We do need to eliminate certain individual and superficial errors, but the team is growing.

“We are more organised and suffer less under pressure, as we saw against a good Sampdoria.

“If we can become more defensively solid, then that will also allow us to organise our attacking moves better.”
