Former Udinese and Napoli Coach Giovanni Galeone has claimed that Massimiliano Allegri is interested in the Lazio job.

The ex-Milan boss has been out of the game since January after he was sacked by the Rossoneri.

But after being linked with the Greece national team and the Biancocelesti, Galeone has revealed that he spoke with the 46-year-old about the Stadio Olimpico outfit.

“I watched the Italy-Luxembourg game in Perugia with Massimiliano,” the 73-year-old told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“And we talked about Lazio. Whilst at other times he has confessed to not being interested in the offers he’s received – this time I saw a different attitude from him.

“Massimiliano has had words with [President Claudio] Lotito.”

Simone Inzaghi and Roberto Donadoni have also been rumoured to be on the Lazio shortlist.
