Juventus Coach Max Allegri shrugged off more questions about his future, as the Chelsea job is replaced by Italy.

The tactician had for many weeks been the hot favourite to take over at Stamford Bridge for next season, but that role now seems to be going to Antonio Conte.

“Once again, nobody knows what I have in mind. So when I heard all this talk of ‘Allegri is going to Chelsea,’ it made me smile. Allegri decides,” he said in a Press conference.

“I haven’t even thought about my future, because it is too important to end the season in the right way.

“I am happy at Juventus, we are working to win a fifth consecutive Scudetto, which would make history, to reach the Coppa Italia Final and qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals.

“I was pleased by (Juventus director Beppe) Marotta’s words, because I’ve always said I am happy at Juventus, but this is not the time to talk about contracts.”

If Marotta offers a contract renewal now, would Allegri take it?

“No, I have a training session, then lunch! I’ve always said I am happy at Juventus, we have a project to revamp the squad and help many new young players grow.”

Allegri was also asked whether he’d be interested in replacing Conte in the Italy job.

“Italy? I am at Juventus, I don’t know why you keep trying to make me leave!”
