The Bianconeri were held to a surprise 1-1 stalemate at the Stadio Scida, while the Partenopei fought back twice to beat Udinese 4-2, cutting the gap at the top of the table from six points to four.

“Just over a month ago, we would’ve been more than happy to go into the head-to-head match with a four-point lead,” Allegri told Mediaset Premium.

“It’s going to a fascinating match. It’s always a tricky game in Crotone, we did very little this evening and it was not a good performance.

“It wasn’t easy, as we had to pass it around without forcing it or being hasty. We already had the sensation we could concede in the first half, as it clearly wasn’t our night.

“We must try to beat Napoli now to take a real leap forward, but either way, the season ends on May 20. We are in good shape physically and I am sure Sunday will be different.

“These are the games you need to bring home the bacon and we didn’t hold our lead in Crotone.”
