Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri insists that Sampdoria enigma Antonio Cassano is all that he wants for Christmas.

Cassano will join the Rossoneri once the winter window opens after his spectacular falling out with Doria chief Riccardo Garrone.

And Allegri has told club officials that he'll be the only January addition required for a side that is currently top of the table.

"It's nice that I'll get the chance to train Cassano," Allegri told the Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday.

And Allegri has told club officials that he'll be the only January addition required for a side that is currently top of the table.

"It's nice that I'll get the chance to train Cassano," Allegri told the Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday.

"Great players can adapt to any situation and all he needs to do is place himself at the disposal of the dressing room.

"Where will he play? We'll carry on with the 4-3-1-2 system, but he could play as the first striker seeing as Pippo Inzaghi is injured.

"More arrivals? I don't think we'll need anybody else, otherwise there will just be too many of us in a squad where there is great harmony and, above all, the desire to make sacrifices for the team."

Allegri was inevitably asked to comment on Ronaldinho, a former Golden Ball winner who has found little space in the first team.

"It's not a case of Ronaldinho not being suited to our championship, but the team has needs which come before a player," the former Cagliari tactician explained.
