More newspapers are suggesting Massimiliano Allegri could leave Juventus at the end of the season to join Beppe Marotta at Inter.

Tuttosport made the claim on Saturday and now the Corriere della Sera backs up the report, assuring he is the favourite to take over from Luciano Spalletti.

It would be a shock to see the tactician cross over to their bitter rivals, but after Juve pushed out director general Marotta and he took control at San Siro, it’s not out of the question.

Marotta took a lot of criticism when he chose Allegri as a last-minute replacement for Antonio Conte at Juventus, but it proved to be a wise move, as the tactician took them to two Champions League Finals and continued the Scudetto winning streak.

Until now, it had been assumed Allegri would go abroad, with Manchester United, Real Madrid or Chelsea the most likely candidates.
