Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri isn’t concerned about the speculation regarding his future at San Siro.

Allegri is only contracted until June, but he may be shown the door sooner after a problematic start to the season.

“I’ve been hearing these stories for four years,” he stated on Friday.

“I know that I will not stay here for life, there are cycles that start and end. Coaches are not eternal. There are a lot of good Coaches in Italy who are growing.”

Milan youth boss Pippo Inzaghi and former midfielder Clarence Seedorf are being talked about as possible replacements.

“Inzaghi is doing well with the Primavera side, while Seedorf is still playing,” Allegri added. “I’m happy with what I have done up to this point in my career.”

Milan are tenth in the standings and they’ve only won once of their last six in the Italian top flight.

“This is an important month for our season – both in terms of Serie A and the Champions League. The most decisive game is tomorrow’s.

“It’s a fundamental game against Genoa. We are obliged to win and we can not afford to make any mistakes.

“We will be up against a side in excellent condition. We want to get back to winning ways since we haven’t won since beating Udinese.”

Turning to team selection, the boss insisted that he had no plans to use Kaka in the Andrea Pirlo role after testing him there in a friendly.

“Kaka is someone who can play in front of the defence, but it was just an experiment.

“He’ll continue to play in the front three. If he recovers from the knock he suffered in training then he’ll play against Genoa.

“I have to decide between Matri and Robinho in attack,” he added.

“I could use Constant in midfield seeing as I will be without Montolivo and Nocerino. I will have Poli, De Jong, Muntari and Cristante at my disposal.”

Stephan El Shaarawy and Mattia De Sciglio are still out, but both are on the comeback trail.

“El Shaarawy is running, but he’s been out for 45 days now. He’s basically starting his training now and he needs time to get fit. Both him and De Sciglio.

“If they’re not available for the match against Celtic, we should have them back for Catania. I hope they’ll both be in form before Christmas.”
