The Bianconeri are missing several big players due to injury and suspension, but use what appears to be a 4-4-2 formation.

“I am curious to see how we play,” Allegri told DAZN before kick-off in Turin.

“Like all opening games, or the first after a break, there will always be curiosity and a question mark over the type of performance we’ll see.

“We know Sassuolo are a very technically-gifted team who last season we struggled to beat in the Coppa Italia and who beat us here in Serie A. We must do well to play a technically precise game, but also keep a clean sheet.”

This is the Serie A debut for former Paris Saint-Germain and Argentina forward Di Maria, so how do Juve plan to use his talents?

“I spoke to him, he is free to roam, because great players know first where the ball will go and put themselves in the right position. We want to make the most of his capabilities as a provider and scorer of goals.”
