In a video chat with the Gazzetta dello Sport, Galliani insisted that the Coach would remain over the summer.

“I’m in daily contact with Allegri,” Galliani noted. “He will stay with us and I have not been in touch with any other Coach.

“Milan have had a very good season and I don’t see why we should change tactician. Allegri will certainly stay with us.”

Turning to the transfer market, the former Lega Calcio chief noted: “Milan need to create top players, not buy them.

“If we make signings then we will sign a defender.”

“He is a professional,” he remarked. “We were sad to sell him, but he earns the kind of money that are not compatible with our finances.

“Would I re-sign him or Thiago Silva? The team who concedes less goals wins the Scudetto.”
