Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri is hoping that the visit of President Silvio Berlusconi today will spur the side on to victory at Napoli on Saturday.

Berlusconi touched down at Milanello where he greeted every player, before addressing them as a squad.

“The visit of the President is very important and it will help to stimulate us,” the Coach stated. “He understands that this is a difficult time and he urged us to do better.

“I spoke with him after the Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”8″>Fiorentina loss, he wanted to understand the situation. But it isn’t a matter of formation, we have to be in the right frame of mind and stop conceding goals.”

Milan had seen a brief improvement in results until they were defeated 3-1 at home by the Viola last weekend.

“We’re really angry because getting a good result against Fiorentina would have given us some continuity in our results,” the tactician added.

“We’ve left a pile of points on our journey so far, but we have the time to get back on the right path.

“There is an important month ahead of us with eight games, two of those fundamental Champions League ties.”

Things may get even more complicated for Allegri and the Rossoneri as they face a daunting trip to the Stadio San Paolo.

“Napoli have some important players and it will be a tough test. Edinson Cavani, Lorenzo Insigne and Marek Hamsik are great.

“Napoli are unbeaten at home, they have excellent qualities and they play well on the counter-attack.

“We’ll have to be alert and play with intensity. We are not in a position to play badly and win, we have to play as a team.”

Allegri noted that Philippe Mexes and Francesco Acerbi will probably start in the centre of defence in a possible 4-3-3.
