Max Allegri said Juventus will stick with the four-man defence against Parma and a trident attack “is possible.”

It kicks off in Turin on Sunday at 14.00 GMT, click here for a match preview.

“I’d prefer Roma to be 10 points behind us rather than three,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“I had no doubts Napoli would get back up there too, as they’ve played all the recent campaigns at a high level. It’s not as if one bad or unlucky performance can cancel out all of a team’s quality. It is a very balanced and interesting campaign.”

The Bianconeri are without Arturo Vidal, Andrea Barzagli, Kwadwo Asamoah, Patrice Evra, Luca Marrone and Martin Caceres.

“I think we will stick with the same system we used on Tuesday,” said Allegri of the 4-3-1-2 tactic in a 3-2 Champions League victory over Olympiacos.

“I had decided from the summer to maintain the old system, but now I think it’s time to shake up the squad. Padoin, Ogbonna or Chiellini could start on the left. It takes balance, as we are coming off an exhausting match.”

There are even reports Carlos Tevez could take the trequartista role behind both Fernando Llorente and Alvaro Morata.

“It was impossible for Tevez to maintain his early goal ratio, but he’s doing very well and is working for the team. There is no Tevez problem. Morata is young and needs to grow, while Llorente is more of a reference point in the box and the best I’ve got in the air. I have five strikers and at the moment Coman isn’t getting much time, but he has a great future ahead of him.

“Parma beat Inter last week, they are a good team and have Antonio Cassano who can change a game. People say he’s a little mad, but he can pass the ball like few in the world.

“The Ducali have rediscovered their confidence and enthusiasm. They had a whole week to prepare and in psychological and physical terms will therefore be sharper.

“We must be smart to not get too ahead of ourselves when things go well and not let our heads drop when they go badly.”

Juve had to fight back from 2-1 down to beat Olympiacos on Tuesday and Vidal had a last-gasp penalty saved. That prevented the Bianconeri from getting a superior head-to-head record.

“That penalty was important, but Vidal got it wrong and these things can happen. On the one hand we have enthusiasm for the victory, on the other disappointment for the penalty,” continued Allegri.

“That doesn’t mean we resolved all our problems, as we must do better with our finishing. The only way to improve that is by training, repeating the movements over and over in front of the goal, just like in basketball. It is also fundamental to have more determination.”

Allegri seemed to win over the fans this week with a Twitter hashtag, #fiuuu – an Italian version of phew – showing his relief after the Olympiacos win.

“It was only normal that when I arrived the fans were so fond of Conte that I wasn’t given much of a warm welcome. I always had a great deal of respect from the fans, but it’s natural I needed time to win them over slowly.”
