Allan believes the Europa League quarter-final with Arsenal is “50-50, but if Napoli do what the Coach asks, we can really trouble them.”

The first leg kicks off at the Emirates on Thursday at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).

“A player must be aware that over the course of the season there are good and bad moments. The campaign didn’t start that well for me and ended badly in 2018, but I hope I can get back to being the Allan I was before, helping the team and putting in great performances,” said the midfielder in his Press conference.

“We are fired up. We know how important this challenge is for us and for the city. We are well aware that there have been some steps backwards over the last couple of games, but if we do what the Coach asks and the way we prepared, I believe we can really trouble a team like Arsenal.

“Our minds must be on Arsenal, it’s very difficult and we have the qualities to win. I’d say it’s 50-50, because Arsenal are strong and in recent years Napoli have proved themselves at this level.

“We must be more organised at the back and that will also allow us to push forward with greater confidence. We are still scoring a lot of goals and doing well this season, even with a slightly different approach.”
