Now Tuttosport is reporting that the left-back is on the verge of signing a two-year extension to his current contract, committing his future to the Old Lady until 2022.

The new deal would see Alex Sandro boost his salary from €2.8m to €4.5m plus bonuses, putting him in the wage bracket of the likes of Miralem Pjanic, Sami Khedira and Gianluigi Buffon.

It’s thought only the signature is lacking, so a new contract could be officially announced in the next few weeks.

There will be no release clause in the contract, as Juve don’t believe in setting a pre-determined price for their players.
