Deportivo Alaves are reportedly trying to sign Milan midfielder Diego Laxalt on loan with an option to buy next summer.

Calciomercato.com claims the Spanish side are hoping to reach an agreement with the Rossoneri and bring the 27-year-old to the Estadio de Mendizorroza.

Alaves, who finished 16th in La Liga 2019-20, can’t afford to pay the current price tag of €10m and are hoping to bring the former Genoa player on an initial loan deal until June 2021.

Alaves, who finished 16th in La Liga 2019-20, can’t afford to pay the current price tag of €10m and are hoping to bring the former Genoa player on an initial loan deal until June 2021.

But the report claims the Diavolo are not convinced, as they want to cash in on the Uruguayan and free up more resources for the transfer market.

And the outlet writes Laxalt himself wants a permanent move this summer and not another temporary solution.

The Basque club has been in direct contact with Milan in recent days but must come back with a better offer to reach an agreement.
