“We haven’t had any meetings with Monchi for Meret so far, but I am not remotely surprised in their interest, as Alex is the best Italian goalkeeper,” agent Federico Pastorello told LaRoma24.it.
Meret is only 21 years old and helped SPAL to promotion from Serie B first, then helping to keep them in the top flight.
