The reports in Italy have linked the former RB Leipzig coach to San Siro in recent months and Zvonimir Boban was fired from his sporting director role after a controversial spat regarding CEO Ivan Gazidis and his reported contact with the Red Bull director Rangnick.

A manager role was proposed for the German coach and Boban claimed that the club had come to an agreement with Rangnick in December 2019, but his agent has now claimed that there are no plans regarding a move to Milan.

“Gazidis and Rangnick have known each other for years and often speak together,” Kosicke told the Germand newspaper Bild. “But there are no plans to work together in place. There are other priorities at the moment.”
