Carlos Alcaraz’s agent admits he was in talks with Inter and Milan last summer, but now he has offers from Portugal and England: ‘We are waiting…’

The 19-year-old is under contract with Racing but has attracted interest from the two Milanese sides, who held talks with the player’s agent only a few months ago.

“I spoke to both cubs last summer, I was told they were watching Carlos,” Alcaraz’s agent Sebastian Lopez told Tuttosport.

“Then, Milan signed Charles De Ketelaere, who was already playing in Europe. Inter have continued to follow the player, as proved by Dario Baccin’s recent trip to South America.

“Now, we have an option in England and Portugal, but neither Inter nor Milan directors have contacted me recently.

“We are waiting, we’ve been talking to important clubs and of course, both options [Inter and Milan] are pleasant,” he continued.

“Inter and Milan are two top clubs. Inter are particularly interested perhaps also because of Diego Milito and Lautaro Martinez, but nobody can question the importance of Milan.”

Both Lautaro and Milito played for Racing, but how much would Alcaraz cost?

“Circa €15m even if the fee could be reduced by adding a sell-on clause for Racing.”

According to reports in Italy, Inter could offer their starlet Facundo Colidio, currently on loan at Club Atlético Tigre, to further lower the player’s price tag.

Alcaraz’s agent has confirmed that Racing’s coach Fernando Gago is looking for a striker with the characteristics of the 22-year-old.

Alcaraz scored nine goals in 42 appearances at a club level last season and has yet to make his senior debut with his national team.

His contract with Racing runs out in the summer of 2026.
