Agent Federico Pastorello was speaking to Rai Sport last night about Napoli interest in Rossi.

“Anything is possible,” he replied. “(President Aurelio) De Laurentiis always liked him a great deal and we’ve talked about it a lot in the past.

“We were very close to them a few years ago.”

However, Radio Kiss Kiss suggest Napoli were burned by Rossi rejecting the transfer to Napoli and are therefore unwilling to bet on him now.

Another option is free agent and former Lazio hitman Klose.

It’s believed Napoli will give Manolo Gabbiadini a couple of games to see how he performs before moving forward to sign another striker.

Rai Sport claim the Partenopei are in contact with Klose’s agent, telling the German to wait until after the matches against Roma and Benfica before deciding whether to proceed.
