Ezequiel Lavezzi’s agent has strongly hinted that his client will be considering his future at Napoli come the end of the season.

The forward’s campaign with the Vesuviani has been plagued by off-the-field rumours that he would be leaving the San Paolo outfit in the summer. Instances such as the player’s girlfriend being robbed at gunpoint and then the Argentine's own words that he felt ‘trapped’ in the southern city have been used to fuel those links away.

Whilst two months ago the player’s agent looked to quash such rumours, an interview this Tuesday has revealed that Lavezzi’s mindset may be open to a change of club.

“Have Anzhi contacted me? I believe that the words of the Vice-President of the Russian club are right, in the sense that I agree with him when he says that today is not the right time to talk about the market,” began Alejandro Mazzoni on Radio Crc, on the latest club said to be interested in his client.

“Now, with Napoli things have to be done properly, just as they do with Lavezzi.

“Everyone has the right to think what he wants. The facts, however, are different to those opinions. Many players have gone on to play in different countries.

“Would Lavezzi change teams in the future? Any person working in life must feel good and earn money.

“If he had used only the emotion of love in his choices, then he would not be living in Naples now, but he would be playing in his homeland, Argentina.

“Pocho has shown many times that he feels good at Napoli, but there are so many things that need to be evaluated when one decides what team to play for.”
