Lautaro Martinez has been repeatedly linked with Barcelona, but his agent insists the Argentina international “will soon sign a new Inter contract.”

The 22-year-old has three goals in nine competitive games for his club this season, while he is becoming a regular for his country thanks to nine goals in 14 senior caps.

“I believe Antonio Conte’s arrival has improved Lautaro on a physical and tactical level,” agent Beto Yaque told Calciomercato.it.

“I believe Antonio Conte’s arrival has improved Lautaro on a physical and tactical level,” agent Beto Yaque told Calciomercato.it.

“He has improved in so many ways, but above all his fitness levels and power. He’s always had a lot of self-confidence, playing very well against Barcelona and Juventus.

“Lautaro is still young and probably needs to learn how to measure out his enthusiasm and energy through the 90 minutes. He is very intelligent and knows how hard he still has to work.”

There are multiple reports that Barcelona are targeting Lautaro Martinez for next summer, on the advice of his fellow Argentina international Lionel Messi, but the agent insists there is no need for Nerazzurri supporters to worry.

“Lautaro is very happy at Inter and will soon sign a new contract with the club. He is not thinking about anything else. It’s positive if there are several big clubs chasing him, as it means he is working well, but I repeat that as of today he is purely tied to the Nerazzurri and very happy here.”
