“I’ve been trying to get the deal over the line in these past few days,” Beppe Riso told SportMediaset.
“The differences in time zone with China didn’t help, he was calmly heading to Turin for the Coppa Italia game with Atalanta, then while he was on the bus I texted him to say it was done and he headed straight back.
“What you can feel right away is that Suning is a very ambitious group and that’s what convinced Gagliardini. They want to build a great squad.”
