Agent Marco Sommella says the teams that want Lazio forward Ciro Immobile ‘will have to knock on the door’ of President Claudio Lotito.

The Italy international has scored 27 goals in 26 Serie A games this season and helped the Biancocelesti to second in the League before the forced break.

“Immobile and the team were doing extraordinary things,” Sommella told Tuttomercatoweb. “I hope the championship will resume because it was competitive.

“As for Ciro, just remember that the numbers are speaking for themselves. He’s in front of Cristiano Ronaldo, [Robert] Lewandowski and [Kylian] Mbappe.”

“Lazio have become a very important reality of Italian football.”

Immobile, who has played for Juventus, Genoa and Torino, was brought back to Italy when President Lotito signed him for €9.45m from Sevilla in July 2016.

He has since won the Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana, and Sommella insisted he won’t be lured away from the Aquile by a lucrative deal.

“In the past, Ciro made some choices and never put the economic aspect first. He always preferred to go where he felt valued, loved and appreciated.

“Even at the cost of losing. If he has become what he is today, it must also be due to Lazio, the team and the club.

“As for the transfer market, whoever wants him, will eventually have to knock on Lotito’s door. And, of course, Ciro’s door too.”
