Mario Mandzukic’s agent assures “his position at Juventus is not up for debate” and he’ll stay even if Gonzalo Higuain arrives.

The Croatian centre-forward impressed in his debut Serie A season, but talk of a bid for Napoli hitman Higuain raised some questions.

“Mario’s position at Juventus is not up for debate,” agent Ivan Cvjetkovic told Sportke Novosti in Croatia.

“Max Allegri appreciates his qualities and it’s only normal that Juventus look around after Alvaro Morata’s departure.

“The season will be a long one with over 50 games to play. That means there’ll be room for everyone. Even if Higuain arrives, it won’t be a problem for Mario. If anything, he’ll be even more motivated to do well.”

Juve are set to bring in another Croatia international later this week, Marko Pjaca from Dinamo Zagreb at €25m.

“The club has made a great investment on a player with a guaranteed future. He can play on the right or left.”
