The forward scored four times in a 5-0 friendly win over Monaco last night, and his representative believes he’s ready to take Gonzalo Higuain’s place.
“As we’ve said, we’re ready to inherit such an important shirt in attack,” Silvio Pagliari explained to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“Mentally, Manolo is stronger than others and he’s someone that, in a transfer situation, reacts this way. The situation has changed, things change if you’re not competing with a superstar in training and matches.
“Now he could play for his place with another star young player, but the mythical figure isn’t there.
“Inter? We’ve spoken to the club, the club will decide, it’s clear that if another forward comes there would be too many players in attack. We’re spectators to any negotiation.
“Fiorentina? We never thought of such a solution. After the departure of Higuain, I don’t see the point in leaving Napoli.”
