The agent of Marcelo Brozovic confirms the Inter midfielder has a €50m release clause for non-Italian clubs but “is now focused” on the Nerazzurri.

Brozovic scored both of Inter’s goals in their 2-0 win against Genoa to up his tally to four in his last four games, a week after he signed a new contract with the club and just two months after his future seemed to lie away from northern Italy.

“Marcelo is still not at 100 percent,” Miroslav Bicanic told Calciomercato.com.

“For his potential, he still has great room for improvement to become a complete midfielder. This would make him among the best in Europe.

“Suning? The strategy of the new owners is very important for the club in general and, particularly, for the players.

“I’m sure that Inter will go back to the big time. The renewal gave Marcelo new motivation and confidence.

“Release clause? Yes, I can confirm that there’s a valid clause for overseas teams of €50m.

“Pioli is perfect for Brozovic. He gave him the chance to show his qualities and Marcelo has repaid that faith with good performances.

“Mr. De Boer didn’t understand the real psychological and emotional nature of Marcelo.

“Juve and Chelsea? Marcelo is now focused on Inter and their results. He needed the renewal as a confirmation of his qualities.

“He was closer to Juve than Chelsea, but now we’re not thinking of the past. We’ll see what the future brings.”
