“The deal with Valencia went on for three months,” Daniele Piraino raged in an interview with Zerocinquantuno.
“Their director general [Jesús García] Pitarch came to Milan three times and was never able to meet with the CEO [Claudio] Fenucci.

“The deal was finally cracked when Pitarch came to Bologna, and even then he found the club unwilling to discuss.
“To date, Bologna have rejected the most concrete offer – more than €10m.
“As for the alleged bonus Diawara would receive, no proposed adjustment has come close to the salary of a player who the club values at €20m.
“Bologna say that Diawara is worth €20m, but then they’re paying him €3,000 per month like some regional player. I hope this situation doesn’t continue until August.
“The directors know what Diawara wants: to move on.”
