Kalidou Koulibaly’s agent has reportedly denied Barcelona‘s interest in signing the Napoli star, while the Partenopei have begun contract extension talks with their defender.

The Senegal international has been heavily linked with leaving the Partenopei over the last few years but has always remained at the club.

His contract with the Azzurri expires in 2023 but Napoli have already begun talks to extend his stay at the club. According to Rai Sport’s Ciro Venerato, Napoli have offered the 30-year-old a new €5m-a-year deal plus bonuses until 2026.

Manchester United and Barcelona are the latest clubs linked with a move for the Senegal captain, but his contract extension would see him remain at the club in the summer. According to Venerato, Koulibaly’s agent has denied the interest of Barcelona in his client.

Koulibaly joined Napoli from Genk in a €7.7m deal in 2014. He has played 302 games with the Partenopei.

Venerato has also reported that Manchester United are interested in Koulibaly’s Napoli teammate Victor Osimhen, valued at €100m by Aurelio De Laurentiis.
