Agent Giovanni Branchini has reassured the fans that Fiorentina forward Patrick Cutrone “is getting better”, after testing positive for the Coronavirus.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers and Milan forward arrived at the Viola this winter, after an unsuccessful spell in the Black Country.

On Saturday, the 22-year-old forward sent out a message to thank the fans “for all your support and messages of affection”.

His agent has revealed that both he and his girlfriend are recovering from a fever and “are getting better”.

“Patrick is better, he is at ease at home and will spend the necessary days to combat the virus,” Branchini told FirenzeViola.it. “Thank God both he and his girlfriend are much better.

“They have never been really bad but have had a fever and are now getting better. We are heading towards a happy solution entirely.”
